play skillfully, and shout for joy.
Choirs at Light of Christ praise the Lord with a new song by breathing new life into timeless classic hymns and singing the latest songs from top contemporary Christian artists. Once you hit three years of age you are a member of the Light of Christ Choirs for life! Choirs kick-off in September and finish their season in May. Click the quick links to go to the choir that’s right for you: Preschool-Kindergarten  is a fun time of music, dance, Bible reenactment, prayer, and circle time fun. During their 30 minute rehearsal Wednesdays 4:45 - 5:15pm, these little singers learn how their songs relate to Jesus' teaching and the special way their young voices bless God’s people. Choir is divided into three seasons for the 2013-2014 school year:
  • Season I August 28 - September 25, 2013: Choir rehearsals begin August 28th. On September 16th Christmas Musical tryouts will be held (look for audition time slots the second week of September) with a kick-off cast party on September 25th.
  • Season II October 2, 2013 - February 5, 2014 (including the annual Christmas Musical December 14th & 15th): Spring Musical Auditions will be held on Jauary 21st (look for audtion time slots the second week of February). 
  • Season III February 12 - April 30, 2014:  This includes the Spring Musical April 5th & 6th.
Singers can join us for just a season or two or for the entire year – it’s up to your family! The Choirs then sing in Sunday morning worship approximately once a month rotating to the different Sunday worship services as well as special holidays and events.

1st – 5th Grade Choir  is a high energy time of music, dance, Bible drama, prayer, and fun with friends. During their 45 minute rehearsal Wednesdays 5:15 - 6pm these praise leaders learn how their songs relate to Jesus' teaching and the unique way their worship blesses God’s people. Choir is divided into three seasons:

Girls’ Ensemble REGISTER NOW is geared to middle school aged girls, developing not only vocal skills but also the art of being a worship leading choir.  During their practice this group is steered by praise songs that the girls help choose. Girls then develop songs in two to three part harmony, eventually adding the praise band as accompaniment and developing their own stage presence in presenting music in worship as well as leading the congregation. Girls Ensemble meets on Monday evenings, 6:30 - 7:15p.  Contact Dr. Josh Jones, Director of Blended Worship, for details.

Girls’ Ensemble then sings in Sunday morning worship approximately once a month rotating to the different Sunday worship services as well as special holidays and events. The group even presents music occasionally at PATH events! 

Adult Choir REGISTER NOW is open to anyone high school and up. This choir is an important part of blended worship at Light of Christ. In addition to singing choral arrangements, chorals, and praise music this group serves as worship leaders in service as well throughout the worship service. Rehearsing Thursday evenings adult choir runs September through May. There are many “short term” opportunities to get involved in choir as well, including the Advent & Christmas Season (November & December) and Lent & Easter Season (March & April). 2013-14 season begins August 29th.
