Caring Partners
Are YOU going through a difficult time in your life right now. . . divorce, illness, caring for someone who is chronically ill, addictions, difficulties with a child, are you a new parent?A Caring Partner can be important support for you.

A Caring Partner is a member of the church that meets with a person on a regular basis to offer a listening ear, kindness, light heartedness, understanding, and to reflect God’s comfort in a practical way. Caring Partners participate in an intensive and exciting training program focused on preparing the individual to share God's love with those in need. A Caring Partner is NOT a licensed social worker or counselor. If you are in need of more professional guidance, we can make referrals for those needs.
If you are interested in having a Caring Partner, please connect with Pastor Sharon Rogers for additional information.
Becoming a Caring Partner
Do people say you are easy to talk with? Do you want to do something that makes a difference in someone’s life?Caring Partners is a way for lay people (a church term for anyone in the church besides the offical pastoral staff) to give comfort to others experiencing the challenges of life. As a Caring Partner, you receive extensive inital training, and then ongoing growth sessions as Caring Partners meet regularly to for networking and support.
“The training was so good! The skills I learned have helped me talk with my spouse and my kids. I did not know that I would benefit from it so much personally." ~ a Caring Partner.
If you feel this is your calling, or if you’re not sure and would like more information, email Pastor Sharon Rogers to learn of the dates for the next training sessions.
