Kingdom Weekend

KW13 Reunion Night is Sunday, March 3rd at 6:30!
A Life-Changing Weekend
Coming in February 2014!
Life is busy...
Kingdom Weekend is a time to stop. Stop the running and going and doing...to take two days to get a clearer picture of what you want for your life and, more importantly, a clearer picture of what God wants for you! There are talks given by members of Light of Christ, small group connections, laughter, good conversations, singing, worship and always plenty of comfort and good food. For more information contact Chris Kardys at cjkardys@speedway.com or 847 458-7475.

Kingdom Weekend FAQs
-
What is the format of the Retreat?
You will hear talks on topics such as ideals, prayer, grace, and God as our Father. After each talk you'll meet with your discussion group to reflect on its message. There will also be time to worship, sing, fellowship with others, eat, and modest amounts of time to go for a walk or read.
-
What will I gain if I choose to go?
You will be able to explore your relationship with God the Father, His Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. You will experience the love of Christ through fellow Christians who will share their time, thoughts and faith with you.
-
Who should attend the retreat?
People who:
Want to strengthen their faith;
Want to build new relationships;
Are young in their faith;
Are lifelong Christians;
Are anxious to experience the love of Christ in a meaningful way;
Want to be more mature Christians;
Desire to connect with others at Light of Christ
-
Can I register over the internet?
YES! Sign up at www.locchurch.com. Registration usually begins in early December. The Retreat is in late February. If you have more questions, contact Kevin Kuphal at 847.458.0907 or kevink@locchurch.com.
-
Is there a cost to participate?
There is no cost if this will be your first Kingdom Weekend, it is a gift that has been paid for by previous participants. Should you wish, you will be given an opportunity to pass the gift of Kingdom Weekend on to a future participant.
-
Do I have to reveal a lot about myself?
No one will pressure you to say anything you are not comfortable with. You may share as much or as little as you like.
-
Who will be leading the retreat?
Those who are responsible for planning and presenting the weekend are lay people from Light of Christ who have attended a previous retreat. The team will have spent more than five weeks together in preparation and training. A pastor will also be available during the retreat, to provide counsel, answer questions, and address any particular needs of the participants.
-
What if I’ve gone once before?
We would love to have you come again! We will, however, give priority to all “first-time participants”. Those who wish to attend a second Kingdom Weekend will be contacted on the Saturday before the retreat, and notified if space is available. Renewal participants will be selected by random drawing until all spaces have been filled. Additional details will be provided to you after we receive your registration. These participants will be expected to pay for the cost of the weekend.
