First Communion Classes are where your children will learn that Holy Communion is a sacred meal in which Christ comes to them in bread and wine. "This is my body given for you… This is my blood shed for you.” We believe those words to be true. Christ is truly present in Holy Communion.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 7 • 9 AM -12 PM
Our Director of Children’s Ministry will host breakfast and lead an interactive learning session including attending the 10:30 AM service together as a group! Just kiddos in attendance for this one.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9 • 6 -8 PM
Our PATH Confirmation Coordinator will lead a Seder Meal that takes you and your child on a journey through a traditional Passover meal connecting it to the Last Supper. One grown-up should attend with your child.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 13 • 9 AM -12 PM
During our last session together, we'll split up into two groups and take turns practicing with & tasting all the elements with a Pastor, and stomping grapes & baking our own communion bread with our Children’s Ministry Director. One grown-up should attend with your child.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 14 • 9 or 10:30 AM
FIRST COMMUNION OFFERED AT BOTH THE 9 & 10:30 AM SERVICES
Finally, you can choose which service your family would like to attend-- and this is when your child will receive their First Communion! Both services will be recorded, so you can share with your family the following week.
Communion is more than just bread and wine…we look forward to helping your children discover the uncontainable presence, grace, love, forgiveness, and mercy of Christ that comes to all of us in the bread and wine.
